With operation, braces and splints, more than 50 patients have been able to walk during past 5 years.

The department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PMR) was started in CMC Ludhiana in the year 2008 when Dr. Santhosh Mathangi joined back after successfully completing the course from CMC Vellore.

CMC Ludhiana is the only medical college which offers independent and authorized services of rehabilitation across the state of Punjab.

This has been possible through careful surgeries and support from physiotherapists and occupational therapists, guided by the team in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation department under Dr. Santhosh Mathangi

This is the first such unit in Punjab for the disabled and the pictures of the patient speak itself the fact that they are able to carry own independent which was impossible from then till now.
