Ludhiana: 26th may 2014: (Punjab Screen Bureau):
Associate Banks' Officers' Association today held a Dharna in front of State Bank of Patiala, Zonal Office, Ludhiana on the following issues:-

• Framing of unwarranted DPD cases against officers and making these cases as vigilance angle cases without going into merits of the case.
• Violation of Transfer policy of officers.

Com. Rakesh Khanna, Secretary, Com. Mahesh Goyal, MCC, Associate Banks' Officers' Association, Unit SBOP, Ludhiana zone and Com. Naresh Gaur, President, State Bank of Patiala Employees Union (Pb.) and Workman Director on the Board of State Bank of Patiala addressed the Bank officers.

Com. Rakesh Khanna while addressing the bank officers said that the management of State Bank of Patiala is unduly harassing the officers by framing unwarranted DPD cases against the officers and more so involving vigilance angle in more than 95% cases which is highly unwarranted.  This is being done in contravention of the instructions of CVC regarding vigilance angle cases.  The CVC has clearly given definition of vigilance angle cases whereas the management is calling simple routine matter ommissions as vigilance angle cases and harassing the innocent officers of the Bank without any malafide on their part.  The management is also doing transfers in gross violation of the laid down policies regarding transfer of officers.  He further stated that our officers are doing their duty towards our beloved institution with sincerity, dedication, devotion and honesty.  We want cordial industrial relation in the Bank but not at the cost of self respect and dignity of our officers.

On the occasion, Com. Naresh Gaur, President, State Bank of Patiala Employees Union (Pb.) and Workman Director on the Board of State Bank of Patiala also addressed the gathering.  He said that State Bank of Patiala Employees Union (Pb.) and All India State Bank of Patiala Employees Federation stand by Associate Banks' Officers' Association, Unit SBOP regarding their above issues.  He further stated that the management should resolve this issue with the Officers Association immediately so that the industrial relation in the Bank are not hampered.
