IMA Ludhiana condemned the callous attitude of PMC

 PMC refused to accept the original records

A Meeting of the Office Bearers of IMA Ludhiana Branch was held on 28-6-2015 at IMA House, Ludhiana. The office bearers decided to celebrate Doctor's Day which is in July and a CME will be held on 11-7-2015 on cancer and Independence Day will be celebrated.

Dr. O P Arora Managing Director of Arora Neuro Centre Pvt. Ltd. Mall Road, Ludhiana gave his representation to IMA Ludhiana about the harassment, humiliation inconvenience, mental and physical torture,  which he suffered during his inquiry in the PMC office at Mohali on 26-6-2015. As demanded by PMC through a written letter, Dr. O P Arora had to take all the original records of Indoor, OPD, MRI, CT Scan, Income Tax returns and personal accounts of last three years. Which he loaded in three trucks and three ambulances and travelled from Ludhiana to Mohali. To his surprise on his arrival at Mohali, PMC refused to accept the original records and asked him to take it back.

IMA Ludhiana condemned the callous attitude of PMC towards doctors. Copy of Dr. O P Arora’s representation will be sent to IMA Punjab shortly for further action as per his request.

Art against Acid Attack by Fortis Team

Nukkad Natak upholds the idea of Stop Acid Attack

Fortis Hospital Ludhiana organised Nukkad Natak on “Tejab (Stop Acid Attack)” at various places in Ludhiana. The purpose of this was to convey a message to ‘Stop this shame’. Six highly enthusiastic artists and professionals from Friends Welfare Club took the responsibility of conveying this social message to the masses. Artist of the play were Mr.Rupinder Singh Dhindsa, Harpinder Singh, Rupinder Rupi, Mandeep Joshi, Rajveer Kaur and Raman Nagi

The artists are reviving the lost art of creativity conveying the message through 'Nukkad Natak' or street play. The group preached about the social evil of Acid Attack on females. They even promoted the idea of “Nasha Mukt Punjab”.

People from surrounding areas, patients and their relatives gathered at Fortis Hospital, Ludiana and other venues. The play revolved around the issues related to the Acid attacks and Drugs. The opening scene focused mainly on the careless and stubborn nature of the youngsters, followed by shots that threw light on the other evils of our society, those might lead to dangerous consequences.

The play concluded with a general message for all the viewers that acid attack, violence and drugs are not solution for any problem, we should all come forward to help and support the victims so that they can lead a respectful life.

Giving information regarding the event Mr.Vivan Singh Gill, Facility Director, Fortis hospital, Ludhiana said, “Fortis Hospital,” Ludhiana in association with “Chhanv Foundation” is organising a charity show “Beautiful You” A chance for Acid Attack Fighters to exhibit their inner beauty on 4th July 2015 at “Shri Guru Nanak Dev Bhawan”, Ludhiana. DD Jain: BCA III Year:100% result

The students of  B.C.A. 3rd Year made the institution Devki Devi Jain Memorial College for Women, Ludhiana proud by excellent results in Panjab University and got 100%  result of  April 2015. Cheenu Jain stood 1st in College by securing 77.04% marks, Sakshi Bawa  stood  2nd  in College by securing 76.16%  marks and  Heena stood 3rd in College by securing 75.75% marks
Samaj Rattan Shri HiraLal Jain, Chairman of the college Managing Committee, Sh. KedarNath Jain, President,  Sh. Bipin Jain, Secretary, Sh. Surinder Kumar Jain, Manager and DrSaritaBahl,  Principal of the college congratulated the students on their brilliant performance in the  exams and announced special incentives to these students.
