S. Majithia should resign on moral grounds
Ludhiana: 8 Jan 2014: (Rector Kathuria//Punjab Screen):
The Social Thinkers Forum Ludhiana has demanded CBI probe into the allegations by international drug smuggler Jagdish Bhola who has blamed Minister S. Bikramjit Singh  Majithia to be involved in the drug racket in Punjab. Our state is reeling under the menace of drugs with lakhs of youth ruining their lives under the influence of drugs. Convener of the Forum Dr Arun Mitra and other activists M S Bhatia, D P Maur and Ramesh rattan said that recently  we had organized a seminar where Shashi Kant former DGP Prisons was the Chief Guest. Message of the seminar was that without political patronage  drug business cannot sustain. Social Thinkers Forum expresses anguish at  the situation of drug mafia becoming powerful in the state. There is urgent need to not just catch the small fries but the big fish need to be brought to book as per law of the land.   In this connection it would be appropriate for S. Majithia to resign on moral grounds and cooperate in the probe without any pressures by the central agency.
