AISSF Dares DSGMC and SAD (Badal) To File Case
February 4, 2014
New Delhi: 4th Feb 2014: (Karnail Singh Peermohammad//Punjab Screen):
While charging Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC) and SAD (Badal) of playing politics on the issue of 1984 Sikh Genocide, All India Sikh Students Federation (AISSF) has challenged Manjit Singh GK, President DSGMC to a file criminal case against Congress (I) MP Kamal Nath for his role in 1984 massacre of Sikhs. Union Minister Kamal Nath is accused of leading death squads in 1984 that attacked Gurudwara Rakab Ganj in which many Sikhs were burnt alive.
AISSF President Karnail Singh Peermohammad stated that the first name of any congress leader involved in massacre of Sikhs in 1984 was that of Kamal Nath as reported by Indian Express on November 2. Mukhtiar Singh, a witness, who is presently employee of DSGMC, testified about Kamal Nath’s role in leading death squads during attack on Gurudwara Rakab Ganj.

Daring DSGMC and SAD (Badal) to come true on their recent “Sham Demonstrations” seeking justice for 1984 genocide victims, Peermohammad stated that since attack was made on Gurdwara managed by DSGMC, Manjit Singh GK has locus standing to file criminal case against Kamal Nath. Since the witness Mukhtiar Singh is in control of DSGMC and SAD (Badal), why the case has not been filed so far, asked Peermohammad.

Federation President, Peermohammad, who is spearheading justice campaign for 1984 victims, stated that it is “ironic that DSGMC and SAD (Badal) leaders only remember 1984 genocidal attacks on Sikhs during the election campaigns” While victims are seeking convictions against Congress leaders, DSGMC and SAD (Badal) are still seeking names of those who were involved in massacre of Sikhs from Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi.”

Mukhtiar Singh, who lived within the premises of the Gurdwara Rakab Ganj during 1984, filed an affidavit with Nanavati Commission, stating that “a big mob lead by Congress leaders Kamal Nth attacked the gurdwara at 11 am, raising anti-Sikh slogans and pelting stones. The police following instructions from the Congress leader, fired several rounds at the gurdwara.  An old Sikh man who tried to pacify the crowd was burnt alive. His son, who ran to his rescue, met with the same fate.”

Sanjay Suri, an Indian Express photographer, also gave an affidavit to Justice Nanavati stating Kamal Nath was leading a strong crowd of about 4000 people that attacked Gurudwara Rakab Ganj.

All India Sikh Students Federation (AISSF) have also announced to collect affidavits from 1984 victims, survivors and witnesses with information of Congress party leaders and workers who were involved in the genocidal attacks on the Sikh community during 1984 and has not still been charged.
