Sarkaria assumed the charge as Cabinet Minister

Even before the new government was formed, new expectations were rising rapidly. Only time will tell how much this new government will live up to these expectations. But the Phillaur ministers have started taking charge of their respective offices and departments.   

S. Sukhbinder Singh Sarkaria, on Tuesday, assumed the charge as  Cabinet Minister at Punjab Civil Secretariat-1, Chandigarh. He has been allotted the departments of Water Resources and Housing & Urban Development. He was welcomed by his staff on arrival at the office. "Under the visionary leadership of the Punjab Chief Minister S. Charanjit Singh Channi, I will continue to work tirelessly to take Punjab to new heights of development", said Mr. Sarkaria, while adding that giving clean, transparent, time-bound and pro-people governance to the people of the state will be his top priority.
