Inaugurationof ‘Shri Nohar Chand Gupta Memorial’ Non-invasive Cardiology Centre at CMC Ludhiana. Inauguration of ‘Shri Nohar Chand GuptaMemorial’ Non-invasive Cardiology Centre at the Department of Cardiology of CMC Ludhiana was held on the auspicious occasion of the birth anniversary of Mr.NCGupta on October 2, 2021.The inauguration was performed by Mr. N.C. Gupta’ssons, Padma Shri Rajinder Gupta ji and Mr. Varinder Gupta ji. Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Rajinder Gupta said that their family has along association with CMC Ludhiana and remembered the days when he used to cometo the hospital as a small child with his mother. Mr. Gupta highly appreciatedthe treatment and care given to his father by the team of doctors and nurses atthe Cardiology department of CMC Hospital who used to work endlessly round theclock. Dr. Rajneesh Calton, Professor and Head ofCardiology Department at CMC Hospital said that late Mr.NC Gupta ji was a verykind hearted person. He was not only a very successful businessman, but he wasa visionary too. His sons, Mr. Rajinder Gupta, Chairman, Trident Group ofIndustries and Mr. Varinder Gupta, Managing Director, IOL Group of Industries, arecarrying forward the great legacy and vision of their father and are committedto making their ‘Bau ji’s” dream of providing robust medical and healthcare facilitiesto the people of India come true. The advance Noninvasive cardiac center at CMCLudhiana is established by them as a tribute to their father. Dr. Calton, informed that the advance Non-invasiveCardiac center is equipped with the state-of-the-art equipment including the latestPhillips Epiq CVx Colour Doppler Echocardiography machine with 2D and 3Dimaging facilities for both adult and pediatric patients. The center alsoincludes the wireless Treadmill machine, Holter recorders, Ambulatory BloodPressure recorders and 15-Lead Electrocardiography machines. Dr. Caltoninformed that the facilities available at the center are at par with any worldclass center.Mr. Rajinder Gupta has also beeninstrumental in establishing CMC Ludhiana as a teleconsultation center withCleveland Clinic, Ohio, USA. The Cleveland Clinic with the Trident group isalso planning to upgrade the existing step-down unit of Cardiology departmentof CMC Ludhiana to a state-of-the-art Intensive Coronary Care Unit fortreatment of patients with heart attack and other acute cardiac problems.
