Ludhiana, 30th September, 2013: (Punjab Screen Bureau):The camp was organized at Mehta nursing home, gill Road. Atleast 250 patients were checked in the camp. Camp was organized on the eve of the Gandhi Jayanti. General health problems like carious teeth, periodontal problems, gum problems, maligned teeth were seen and patients were advised the needful. Patients were advised to restore all the teeth so that they can chew their food properly. Patients were also told how to protect teeth from caries and the dietary habits they need to follow in order to safeguard their dental health.
Dr P.S. Grover (Consultant SPS Apollo hospital) along with Dr. Kuldeep Mehta diagnosed the patients and also dispersed free medicines to the patients.
Patient Jasbir kaur was having periodontal problem, was advised scaling and full mouth prophylaxis. Patient Krishna complained of pain in the molars which were grossly decayed, was advised extraction and replacement of teeth. Dr.Grover also advised the importance of fixed prosthesis and dental implants.
