Auction of Spectrum in 1800 MHz and 900 MHz bands

Dates Extended for the Auction

New Delhi: 30  December 2013: (PIB):

The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) has extended the dates related to the auction of spectrum in 1800MHz and 900MHz bands. Now, the Auction will start on 3rd February 2014 instead of 23rd January 2014. The Department had issued an NIA (Notice Inviting Applications) on the 12th of this month in which it was specifically mentioned that any changes in the Auction Timelines will be communicated through the DoT website and the participants have been requested to monitor the DoT website actively. The revised dates are as follows: 

*         Clarifications to NIA                                         2nd  January 2014

*        Last date for submission of Applications             15th  January 2014

*        Publication of ownership details of Applicants      20th  January 2014

*        Bidder Ownership Compliance Certificate             23rd  January 2014

*         Pre-qualification of Bidders                              25th  January 2014

*        Last date of Withdrawal of Applications              27th  January 2014

*         Final List of bidders                                        29th  January 2014

*         Mock Auction                                          30th–31st  January 2014

*         Start of the Auction                                         3rd  February 2014

Total Spectrum put to Auction is 46 MHz in 900 MHz band and 403.2 MHz in 1800 MHz band. The details of the NIA are available on the website of DoT.
