Magic of Acupuncture is rising throughout the World

Tuesday 14th February 2023 at 09:47 PM

Dr. Inderjeet Dhingra explained the miracles of this therapy

Ludhiana: 14th February 2023 (Special Medical Feature)

After Consultaion with Dr. Inderjeet Dhingra by Punjab Screen Desk

Acupuncture is a wonderful treatment that is done with needles only,  there is no need of surgery or medicinal therapy.

The technique of inserting needles in the human body is termed as acupuncture therapy.

The search for this mode of therapy began by the Chinese doctors after the independence in the year 1949 and now this therapy is not used only in China but also approved in the other parts of the world. This mode of treatment started in 1958 in India by Dr. Vijay Kumar Basu in kolkata, who was a member of the the medical mission to China in 1938. He formed a committee in India in the memory of Dr. Kotnis and started teaching acupuncture to other young Indian doctors as a result of which various acupuncture centres are currently running in the different states of the country. In North India first indoor acupuncture hospital started in the year 1975 which is run by Dr. Inderjit Singh Dhingra and patients not just from punjab but also from various other states come for the treatment in this hospital.

This therapy is based on the energy in human body which flows from one end to another in the body and is maintained in balance for 24 hours in the body. When there is disturbance in this balance of energy,  the disease state arises. Ying and yang are the two of opposite energies which are kept in balance in the human body by acupuncture therapy. There are specific meridians of the body in which needles are penetrated for different diseases which have a great effect in maintaining our body energy levels .

This mode of therapy has been recognized first in the year 1996 in West Bengal and then in 2017Maharashtra.

This therapy has also been considered as an independent mode of therapy by the government of India in the year 2019.

Acupuncture has been proved to be very successful in treating diseases like asthma, joints pain,  cervical spondolytis,  anxiety,  frozen shoulder,  arthritis,  lung infections , insomnia,  facial paralysis, trigeminal neuralgia and many grave diseases which have no permanent cure in modern medicine.

Acupuncture has proved to be safe,  economical, successful and a permanent therapy for the diseased individuals.

For the development of acupuncture in india, medical colleges providing degree and diploma courses will be opened in the coming years which will help the young ones to learn this therapy and provide good health to the countrymen.

The world health organization has also recognised this therapy and has aimed towards the development of acupuncture for providing good health to the people.

Chandigarh: 23rd January 2023: (Kartika Singh//Punjab Screen)::

While crime increases rapidly under the influence of drugs, the younger generation starts degrading in many ways. Where the youth trapped in the trap of drugs reach the world of crime, anti-national elements also start taking advantage of them. If we have a look at the campaign launched by the police, many horrifying pictures come to the fore. Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann has taken vigorous initiative to change this whole atmosphere.

Amid the ongoing decisive war against drugs launched on the directions of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, Punjab Police have arrested 241 drug smugglers/suppliers after registering 173 first information reports (FIRs), including 18 commercial, under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) act across the state in the last week.

Inspector General of Police (IGP) Headquarters Sukhchain Singh Gill, while addressing his weekly Press Conference here on Monday, said that the Police have also recovered 5-Kg Heroin, 4.90-Kg opium, 5.92 quintals of poppy husk, and 1.95 Lakh tablets/capsules/injections/vials of Pharma opioids besides recovering Rs 7.89 Lakh drug money from their possession.

He said that with 13 more Proclaimed Offenders (POs)/Absconders in NDPS cases arrested in the last week, the total number of arrests reached 636 since the special drive to arrest POs/absconders was started on July 5, 2022.

Sharing monthly details on action taken against sellers trading in the Chinese Kite string, the IGP said that Police teams have recovered 11364 Chinese dor bundles after registering 234 First Information Reports (FIRs) and arresting 255 people indulged in selling this fatal kite flying string. As per the directions of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, Punjab Police will take strict action against those buying/selling Chinese kite flying string, he added.

Pertinently, Director General of Police (DGP), Punjab Gaurav Yadav had given strict instructions to all the CPs/SSPs to investigate backward and forward linkages minutely in each and every case, especially related to drug recoveries, even if they recover a meager amount of drugs.

Meanwhile, on the direction of Chief Minister Punjab Bhagwant Mann to make Punjab a drug-free state, extensive anti-drug drives have been launched by the Punjab Police to combat the menace of drugs from the border State. The DGP has also strictly ordered all the CPs/SSPs to identify all hotspots where drugs are prevalent and all top drug smugglers in their jurisdictions. He also directed the Police chiefs to effectively forfeit the property of all the arrested drug smugglers so that their ill-gotten money could be recovered.

ADG Rajendra Chaudhary warned against western fast food

The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting in collaboration with Kheti Virasat Mission organized a Media Interaction and Millet Lunch at Ludhiana Club today. In today's era, it was a historic event to find solutions to the problems that our society is facing related to food grains and agriculture, in which very relevant and deep things became the subject of discussion.

The Government of India sponsored the proposal for the International Year of Millets (IYM) 2023, which was approved by the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA). Indian Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi has also expressed his desire to call IYM 2023 a "people's movement" and for India to become a "global hub for millets". This movement is being spearheaded by PIB Chandigarh in the region. He has also organized Millet Lunch for the local media in Tarn Taran and Chandigarh to encourage the media to give more media space to Bajra and its promotion.

He said during the conversation that “due to the adoption of western fast food culture, today's young generation is facing many health-related problems from an early age. Millets can aid in the fight against various health problems. Millets are gluten-free, high in protein, and have a low glycemic index. Thus, they can also help with weight loss.”
