Deputy commissioner Rajat Aggarwal flanked by Civil Surgeon, Dr. Subhash Batta, Director Fortis Ludhiana Vivan Gill, Medical Director Dr Gurbir Singh and MD Ace Healthways Rohit Kapoor inaugurated the state-of-art radiology and medical imaging center at Fortis Hospital here today.
Speaking at the inaugural ceremony, the deputy commissioner Rajat Aggarwal said that the need of hour was to provide cost effective treatment, especially to the poor patients. "The benefits of cutting edge advanced medical technologies should be made accessible for all. No one should be left wrongly diagnosed or untreated for the want of money," he said. Aggarwal called upon the medical fraternity to have softer corner for poor, women, children and elderly.
Dr. Subhash Batta, Civil Surgeon, Ludhiana was the guest of honor on the occasion. Dr Batta said that Ludhiana is a hub of medical treatment in state and having better diagnostic techniques meant better treatment and healthier public.
Dr Vivan Gill from Fortis Hospital said that the center has 128-SLICE CT SCAN - safety and precision with the best in CT . It comes equipped with innovative technology that minimizes total radiation exposure up to 80 percent.
The center has been launched with ACE Technologies as their radio-diagnostic partner in the and in-house diagnostic centre.
