"These forces have turned patriotism into narrow nationalism"

Hidden agenda behind "nationalism" was exposed in the seminar
Ludhiana: 18 March 2017: (Pardeep Sharma IPTA//Punjab Screen)::
The forces in power who sided with the British during freedom struggle are now completely distorting the ideals for which great martyrs of our country laid down their lives. This was said by Prof. Jagmohan Singh while addressing a seminar organized by the Communist Party of India today under the presidentship of Com Charan Sarabha and Com Gurnam Gill at Shaheed Karnail Singh Isru Bhawan Ludhiana to commemorate and pay homage to the 87th martyrdom day of Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev. These forces have turned patriotism into narrow nationalism and are constantly working on the theory of Hitler to purge the minorities and all those who disagree with them. Killing of Dabolkar, Pansare, and Kulbargi are glaring examples of this. In addition killing of Akhlaq and merciless beating of Dalits in Una are some things unimagined by the martyrs who dreamt of a secular democratic India with socio-economic justice to all. When the people from all sections, classes including youth, women, workers and peasants of the whole country were up in arms against the British, the RSS and its outfits were eulogizing their masters. It is pertinent to mention here that their ideologue Golvalkar had called upon Hindus not waste energy against the British but to save it to fight against the Muslims, Christians and the Communists. It is an irony that Godse who killed Gandhi is being projected as a great person and even temples are being made in his memory. Savarkar, the only person whom they glorify for his going to Andaman Jail, had begged mercy from the British to release him so that he could work in unison with them, said Prof Jagmohan Singh. It is well known that Savarkar had given the theory of Hindus and Muslims as two separate nations, which had laid the basis of the partition of the country. Since peoples from all communities fought for the freedom of the country, the communal forces lost badly in the elections immediately after independence. But the capitalist mode of development was fraught with problems of inequality and injustice. A time came when the privy purses were abolished and banks and coal mines were nationalized. But all such pro-people steps were opposed by the RSS and its outfits. Addressing the meeting Com Kartar Singh Bowani, District Secretary of the Party said that these reactionary forces are working on the lines of Hitler who was built by the then corporate. Similarly, the present corporate is building Modi as a messiah for all ills. Dr. Arun Mitra, Asstt.Secretary said that the forces of Hindutva are speaking lies on the lines of Goebbels, the propaganda secretary of Hitler. Their lies are getting exposed. Despite all their efforts, they have not been able to include the name of Kanhaiya in the events at JNU. But the hounding of Gurmehar, daughter of a great martyr of this country, is a very serious matter which has to be condemned.   But India is not Germany. We have immense diversity which will save our country. Our people have an anti-imperialist history and history of assimilation. Com D P Mur Asstt. Secretary district unit cautioned that it is unfortunate that in spite of opposition by the secular and nationalist forces, the reactionary forces, under the leadership of Narinder Modi has come to power by managing the system. The examples of Goa and Manipur are clear cut defiance of the verdict given by the people. False slogans cannot solve the problems.  For more Pics Please Click Here
They will defeat such forces. City secretary of the CPI Com Ramesh Rattan said that there is a need for a broad consensus and constant movement to defeat these communal, obscurantist and parochial forces to save the Indian nation.
A book was written by Kanhaiya Kumar FROM BIHAR TO TIHAR was released on the occasion. For more Pics Please Click Here
Others who addressed include  Com Gurnam Sidhu, Dr. Gulzar Pandher, Com Kewal Banwait, Com Chamkaur Singh, Com Lalit Kumar, Com Kameshwar.

We are living very inadvertently with wrong dietary, sleep, and behavioral patterns. We eat, drink and live for the sake of our body only and take no care of soul and mind. Ludhiana: 10 March 2017: (Punjab Screen Bureau)::
To showcase the latest farm technologies for Kharif crops, Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) held a Kisan Mela at its Regional Station, Faridkot today. Mr Jang Bahadur Singh Sangha, Former Member, Board of Management, PAU as well as a progressive farmer, inaugurated the Kisan Mela which focused on the theme “Sow PAU seeds, adopt subsidiary occupations, do efficient marketing and maintain farm records.”  In addition to interaction with the experts, the farmers obtained solutions to farm queries, viewed live demonstrations, and purchased seeds, planting material and PAU farm publications. Dr Ashok Kumar, Director of Research presided over the function and Dr Gurmeet Singh Butter, Additional Director of Extension Education, also graced the occasion.
In his inaugural address, Mr. Sangha greeted the gathering and said that the prime objective of such pastoral fairs is two-way interaction between the agricultural scientists and the farmers. Equating the kisan melas to knowledge-encapsulated events, he advocated a two-pronged strategy for ensuring a lucrative agricultural enterprise, viz., judicious expenditure and adoption of subsidiary ventures. Opining that PAU Kisan Divas is unique, he said that it is a divas of knowledge where farmers interact with university scientists to gain new knowledge on farming.Mr. Sangha, who himself is an ace potato grower, said that PAU has contributed immensely towards national food security. The farmers should keep constant liaison with the university scientists to learn the latest techniques of farming, he explained. He further pointed out that in the post green revolution era, Punjab is facing new challenges. Marital vows have lost their significance

Should be replaced with a formal affidavit
Ludhiana: 4th March 2017:(Punjab Screen Bureau)::
Belan Brigade has organized a press conference in Circuit House in which women participated and raised their voice against women issues.
On this occasion Belan Brigade’s national president Aneeta Sharma said that the 18th century women used to spend their entire lifetimes behind the traditional veil fulfilling their house hold duties such as fetching water from the well, cooking meal on earthen firewood stoves, applying clay on their house floors and walls, looking after their kids and family as well as having 8-10 children. It’s a historical fact that women used to work more than men. Men would only roam in forests and bring home fruits and prey.
However, everything has changed in the 21st century. Women, these days, are performing their household chores using modern technology and equipments and they have come out of the realm of their homes but unfortunately, they still have to live by the command of men. Men advise them what to do and what not to do. Even if they wish to be a mother, it happens only after men’s consent. If their husbands don’t wish to, they can’t be a mother. It also depends on the husband’s will that she carries the baby in her womb or goes for an abortion she said.
Further she said that women have to face a lot of humiliation in courts. They don’t get justice in the serious matters of domestic violence and divorce. Their lives become hell seeking divorce, carrying babies in their arms and still it becomes harder for them, each day, appearing in courts and going to lawyers for help to provide them their monthly expenditures for kids and themselves. They don’t get it even after several years of hard struggle. It all fails due to futile arguments in courtrooms by the lawyers and results in the spoiled lives of mothers and their children. Nobody has ever paid any heed to how these divorce cases fail to render justice to females in Indian courts and that’s why they are in such an awful condition. They have to spend their lifetimes proving that their husbands earn a good deal and so they deserve to be given their living expenses. Before marriage, every relative of the groom declares that he earns a great deal and owns a factory and has a good business whereas when it comes to divorce, parents expel their son from the property and declare him a jobless bankrupt. Thus, he can’t give any monetary help to his wife and kids. The so called millionaire guy before marriage gets declared an utterly poor man with the help of court and advocates.
Thousands of years ago, in the Satayug, the Hindu wedding couples used to make formal vows to each other during their marriage and they used to fulfill those vows in their whole lives whereas today, in these modern times, these marital vows have lost their significance and they are deceiving their partners. These vows are made verbally and later on they accuse each other of infidelity. Therefore, it would be better that this custom should be replaced with a formal affidavit signed by both the parties so that nobody could gainsay their promises made to their partners she said
Women play various roles in our society as a mother, sister and daughter or daughter-in-law.  However, this male dominated society considers her as a means of enjoyment and pleasure and they underestimate her strengths and abilities and consider her as weak and unstable. Everyone tries to control her and be a master of her.
Women are not feeble as it’s the most difficult part of her life to give birth to a baby after suffering a lot of physical pains and sometimes it takes an operation too. So, how can we call her weak and unable.
Men are mostly into bad habits like drinking alcohol, gambling and drug addiction along with many other disgraceful and shameful activities and only women have to suffer due to their ill treatment and inability to win bread and butter for the family as she has to stay at home and do the chores. She doesn’t earn a livelihood. She has to look up to her husband for running household expenditures. Now, the time has come that women have to be all set for a change and they have to be aware of their rights and to fight for those rights so that they don’t have to depend on men for running their households.
She added that Navkiran Women Welfare Association and Belan Brigade have braced themselves up to provide work to women and make them financially strong so that they don’t have to look up to their husbands for household expenditures.
Before marriage, every groom and his family should provide an affidavit of his work, earning and property to the bride’s family so that they can’t escape their responsibilities for the woman and her kids if a situation of divorce arises.
Thus, our association will work towards providing help to women who have pending divorce cases in courts, saving homes where men are indulged in drugs addiction and helping home maker women to earn to become financially independent.
