Ludhiana, 7th September, 2013: (Shalu Aora and Rector Kathuria):The Department of Ophthalmology, Christian Medical College & Hospital, Ludhiana organized its 10th Annual Ophthalmic Quiz and awareness talks for Doctors and medical students.
The Chief Guest for the occasion was Dr. A.G. Thomas, Director, CMC & H. He encouraged & appreciated the efforts of the Department and students in organizing this academic session and also in spreading awareness about common eye disorders.
Among the 30 undergraduate MBBS teams, 4 teams had qualified for the quiz following the preliminary round. *Dr. Nitin Batra and Dr. Gurvinder Kaur conducted the finals. Sneha Liz Jacob & Jesse Jacob Skariah and Runners Up- Jasmine Ratti, Mary from the Batch 2010, emerged the Champions in the closely contested quiz.
Mr. Siddhant Shrotriya and Mr. Ashikh Thomas presented interesting talks on “Path-breaking inventions in Ophthalmology” and Community Based Rehabilitation.
Other dignitaries to attend this event included Dr. S M Bhatti, Principal, Dr. Kanwal Masih, Medical Superintendent and several Senior Administrators.
