Ludhiana: 10th January, 2017: (Punjab Screen Bureau):
IPS Mr. Dhruv Dahiya, ADCP (Traffic)
was the Guest of Honour for the day. The Chief Guest, while addressing the
students, mentioned that the victims of the road accidents are mainly the youth
who drive recklessly and break the traffic rules. He further encouraged the
students to drive safely by following the traffic rules with the vision to be
safe, responsible, highly aware future drivers. He advised the students to use
helmets, seat belts, avoid mobile phones while driving and not to mix drinking
with driving and ask the children to carry this message in their minds in the
day to come. He shared his valuable information regarding road signs and
informatory signs with the students which help them to comprehend the traffic
signs displayed on the board. The motive behind this interactive session was to
instill a sense of road safety amongst the students and sensitize them about
the important issues. He also invited the students to join ‘Helping Hands’ Scheme
through which the students will get first hand training of handling the traffic
at various strategic points of the city. Dr. Mrs. Anu Verma, Principal of the
