Violent incidents are increasing openly on the streets. These gangs roam the streets creating bloodshed and carrying out violent crimes with great fearlessness. Along with robberies, murders are also increasing. The murderous gangs are increasingly fearless. Bloodshed has become a common thing. Those who make violence and murder their lifestyle probably feel that the person asking them here There is none. There is no one to stop them. 

The case of murder of Jaggu Bhagwanpuriya's mother was still recent when a property dealer Kuldip Singh was hacked to death with swords in the middle of the road. Few Years ago deceased was the PA of former MP and Senior Akali leader Jagdev Singh Talwandi in Ludhiana. 

There were many people passing there at that time but due to fear no one came to save him, yes, some people wanted to make the video of the murder. These people had also made videos during the murder of Sidhu Moose Wala. 

The murderers had vented out their enmity and anger with satisfaction in their hearts and while passing by Instead of trying to save the victim of hooliganism, people consider it a farce. Soon the word 'beating' also started being used. The sword strikes continued until death. The video of this disgusting incident has also gone viral. It is being said that it was made by a passerby.

Perhaps no one would have imagined such a decline in security arrangements that important A person like this will be slaughtered on the road like an animal. Goon gangs will declare their rule on the streets. It was a heart-wrenching and horrifying scene on the streets of Ludhiana, Punjab late on Friday night. The police station is also nearby but the murderers probably had no fear. Madam Avneet Kaur, SHO of Sadar police station, said that the reason behind the murder is not clear at the moment. But according to the public discussion heard during this period, prima facie the possibility of a land dispute is also being expressed.

While crime increases rapidly under the influence of drugs, the younger generation starts degrading in many ways. Where the youth trapped in the trap of drugs reach the world of crime, anti-national elements also start taking advantage of them. If we have a look at the campaign launched by the police, many horrifying pictures come to the fore. Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann has taken vigorous initiative to change this whole atmosphere.

Amid the ongoing decisive war against drugs launched on the directions of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, Punjab Police have arrested 241 drug smugglers/suppliers after registering 173 first information reports (FIRs), including 18 commercial, under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) act across the state in the last week.

Inspector General of Police (IGP) Headquarters Sukhchain Singh Gill, while addressing his weekly Press Conference here on Monday, said that the Police have also recovered 5-Kg Heroin, 4.90-Kg opium, 5.92 quintals of poppy husk, and 1.95 Lakh tablets/capsules/injections/vials of Pharma opioids besides recovering Rs 7.89 Lakh drug money from their possession.

He said that with 13 more Proclaimed Offenders (POs)/Absconders in NDPS cases arrested in the last week, the total number of arrests reached 636 since the special drive to arrest POs/absconders was started on July 5, 2022.

Sharing monthly details on action taken against sellers trading in the Chinese Kite string, the IGP said that Police teams have recovered 11364 Chinese dor bundles after registering 234 First Information Reports (FIRs) and arresting 255 people indulged in selling this fatal kite flying string. As per the directions of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, Punjab Police will take strict action against those buying/selling Chinese kite flying string, he added.

Pertinently, Director General of Police (DGP), Punjab Gaurav Yadav had given strict instructions to all the CPs/SSPs to investigate backward and forward linkages minutely in each and every case, especially related to drug recoveries, even if they recover a meager amount of drugs.

Meanwhile, on the direction of Chief Minister Punjab Bhagwant Mann to make Punjab a drug-free state, extensive anti-drug drives have been launched by the Punjab Police to combat the menace of drugs from the border State. The DGP has also strictly ordered all the CPs/SSPs to identify all hotspots where drugs are prevalent and all top drug smugglers in their jurisdictions. He also directed the Police chiefs to effectively forfeit the property of all the arrested drug smugglers so that their ill-gotten money could be recovered.

Amid the ongoing decisive war against the drugs launched on the directions of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, Punjab Police on Sunday achieved yet another great success after SBS Nagar Police has recovered 38kg heroin concealed in a toolbox of a truck coming from Gujarat, said Director General of Police (Punjab) Gaurav Yadav here.

The DGP said that the Police have arrested two persons including a truck driver identified as Kulwinder Ram alias Kinda and his accomplice identified as Bittu, both residents of Balachaur, SBS Nagar besides booking two drug smugglers identified as Rajesh Kumar alias Sonu Khatri of Rakkara Dhahan and Som Nath alias Bikko of Karawar. The Police have also impounded the truck bearing registration number PB04V6366, he added.

IGP Ludhiana Range Surinder Pal Singh Parmar accompanied by SSP SBS Nagar Bhagirath Meena, While addressing a press conference in SBS Nagar, the police had received a secret information that a drug smuggler identified as Rajesh Kumar along with his accomplices Som Nath Bikko, Kulwinder Kinda and Bittu is engaged in the business of supplying large quantities of heroin in different areas of Punjab by bringing the drug from other states through truck.

Following this information, the Police have immediately registered an FIR no. 138 dated 27-08-22 under sections 21/25/28-61-85 of the NDPS Act at Police Station City Nawanshahr, he said, adding that a special nakabandi was conducted at Mahalon Bypass in SBS Nagar under the supervision of the Shri Ranjit Singh PPS and SI Surinder Singh.

"During the nakabandi when the police party signalled the truck to stop, the truck driver Kulwinder Kinda tried to run away but the police party managed to catch him and Bittu and recovered 38kg packet of heroin wrapped in a tarpaulin and concealed in a toolbox of the truck," he said.

SSP Bhagirath Meena said that, during preliminary interrogation accused truck driver Kulwinder Kinda disclosed that he had received a call from from Rajesh Kumar via Telegram App, who gave him a pinpoint location in Bhuj in Gujarat to pick heroin and bring it to Punjab. The accused further revealed that when he reached the location, an unknown person came and loaded the drug into his truck.

He said that Kulwinder Kinda also disclosed that earlier on the instruction of Rajesh Kumar, he had brought two chunks including of 10kg and then 20kg heroin from Srinagar Udi in the month of January, besides, 1kg of heroin from Delhi this year.

The SSP said that the Police are conducting raids to nab accused Rajesh Kumar and Som Nath and soon they will be arrested. 

DGP Gaurav Yadav, while reiterating the commitment of Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann to make Punjab a drugs-free and crime-free state, said that Punjab Police has adopted zero tolerance policy against drugs menace and crime. Anybody found indulged in any kind of anti-social activities, will be dealt with heavy hand, he warned.

Meanwhile, accused Rajesh Kumar alias Sonu Khatri is a professional criminal and facing over 19 cases of henious crime including murder, hurt, illegal activities, forgery, NDPS Act and Excise Act. While, Kulwinder Kinda was convicted and sentenced for imprisonment of 10 years in an NDPS case registered at Nurmahal Police Station regarding 3.45 Quintal Poppy Husk recovery.

In a major breakthrough, Ludhiana Commissionerate Police has busted a inter-state gang involved in cow slaughtering by arresting the two accused. 

Commissioner of Police Gurpreet Singh Bhullar said that the gang was also involved in an incident that took place on November 24, last, wherein organs of stray cattle were found scattered in the focal point locality. Subsequently, a case was also registered under relevent sections of law including hurting religious sentiments besides launching a thorough investigation into the matter. 

The CP further added that while probing the matter through humane and technical intelligence, the Police got vital leads in the case leading to the arrest of accused namely Kalim Ahmed and Mohammad Rihan, both resident of Utter Pradesh. He stated that the arrested accused revealed that they used to take stray cattle at deserted place and slaughter them so as to remove their skin to further sell it to Delhi. After the crime the gang would throw the organs of the dead animals into the nearby garbage dump, he added. 

Mr. Bhullar also said that four other accused have been identified as Aman alias Armaan, Alam of UP, Iqbal a resident of New Delhi and Ravi from Ludhiana District. He said that the raids were on to arrest these accused as police have got vital inputs about their hideouts. A bolero car used in the crime, five sharp edged knives, one axe, four hammers, five salt bags, tarpaulin to cover the beef, cutter, and other sharp edged weapons were also recovered from the accused, which they would use to catch and slaughter stray cattles, said the CP. He also mentioned that the police were also investigating the the links of this gangs with other states.

Punjab Police has today arrested the Haryana-based man whose credentials and documents were used to hire a flat for the hideout of slain gangsters-turned-drug smugglers Jaipal Bhullar and Jaspreet Singh alias Jassi in Kolkata. The arrested person has been identified as Sumit Kumar, a resident of Meham in Haryana.

The development came three days after Jaipal Bhullar and Jaspreet Jassi were neutralised by the STF West Bengal Police, after they fired on the West Bengal Police party when they raided their flat in Kolkata. 

Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Counter Intelligence and Organised Crime Control Unit (OCCU) Amit Prasad said that they have managed to nab Sumit, a close associate cum business partner of Bharat Kumar, who helped Jaipal Bhullar and Jassi in escaping from Morena, Gwalior and arranged hideout for them in Kolkata, after they killed two ASIs Bhagwan Singh and Dalwinderjit Singh of Jagraon Police at grain market, Jagraon on May 15, 2021 evening.

Bharat was arrested with .30 bore pistol and Honda Accord car from near Shambhu Border in Rajpura area on June 9 and on his disclosures, Punjab Police gave information to the West Bengal Police that the gangsters duo, Jaipal and Jassi, that they were holed up in a rented apartment in Kolkata.

The ADGP said that preliminary investigations had found that both Sumit Kumar and Bharat Kumar, who were business partners since 2015, were involved in illegal sale of fancy mobile numbers, including mobile numbers of foreign based telecoms, purchased from different countries and other states, and they used to sell them across Punjab, Haryana at exorbitant rates.

He said that Bharat was also found to be in possession of an official ID of Constable Amarjit Singh, which was being used to evade toll plazas while escaping from Gwalior. “Although, Bharat claimed that Constable Amarjit is his and Sumit’s mutual friend, the Police are investigating why he was having possession of Amarjit’s official ID and if the latter had any knowledge about his official ID being misused by Bharat,” said ADGP Amit Prasad.

Meanwhile, further investigations are being carried out to investigate the role of Bharat and Sumit in criminal actions and activities.

Ludhiana, 6 September 2013:(Vishal//Punjab Screen): This looks like a film story scripted and played in Punjab but this also conveys a travel from debt to crime. A debt-ridden postgraduate man from Sangrur Distt., who recites kirtan at Gurdwara Damdama Sahib at Jandiali village near here, masterminded an extortion bid to take Rs 1 crore from three city-based doctors after he failed to sell his kidney.
However, the accused, identified as Jaswinder Singh, fell in the police net within 24 hours.
On September 4, the city police went in a tizzy after a doctor couple received an anonymous SMS.

According to police the urologist couple, Dr Vikas Gupta and his wife, reported to the police that the person had demanded an extortion of Rs 50 lakh via SMS. It was stated in the text that if they failed to arrange the money, they would have to face dire consequences. 

While the police had just begun the investigation into the matter, an eye specialist, Dr Gaganpreet, approached the police with a similar complaint stating that the person had demanded an extortion of Rs 50 lakh. Both incidents were different but the style was same. Extortion was demande via SMS.

Gauging the gravity of the matter, Commissioner of Police Paramjit Singh Gill ordered a high-level probe into the matter and deployed the cyber cell to probe the issue. After the initial investigation It came to light that the man had procured a SIM card on the basis of fake documents and only two SMSes were sent from it.

Police sources said while the accused destroyed the SIM card after sending the text messages, the police managed to track the IMEI number from which the texts were sent.

A police team, including ACP Gurbains Bains and Inspector Ashok Kumar, soon conducted a raid and nabbed the accused from a gurdwara last night.

During questioning, he reportedly confessed to having committed the offence. Jaswinder Singh had reportedly borrowed Rs 20 lakh from his in-laws on 2 per cent interest.However, he could not repay the loan amount, which affected his marital life. Exasperated, he even decided to sell his kidney, but he was reprimanded by Vikas and his wife.Enchanted by the luxurious lifestyle of the doctors, he decided to extort money from them and sent a threat SMS.
