OPA received Rs. 5,00,000/- from the MSME

Offset Printers Association (OPA) received Rs. 5,00,000/- from the Ministry of MSME, Govt. of India as the reimbursement for the OPA delegation which visited DRUPA, Dusseldorf (Germany) under IC scheme. The grant will be distributed to the 17 printer delegates who visited DRUPA under the banner of OPA.
While thanking the Ministry of MSME, speaking on the occasion Mr. Parveen Aggarwal, President OPA said, held at an interval of four years, DRUPA is world’s largest exhibition for the printing and allied machinery and material. OPA arranged the visit of interested members to this exhibition with the support of Ministry of MSME under international cooperation scheme. The visit proved to be a major success, not only in the terms of machinery and latest equipment but also to understand the system of working and things to come.
India Day was organized during DRUPA with Smt. Kiran Khatri, Consul (Economic & Commerce) Consulate General of India at Frankfurt as the Chief Guest. During India Day the capacity and potential of Indian Printing and Packaging industry was highlighted, with a view to invite overseas publishers and industrialists to get their printing and packaging work executed from India. The event was highly successful as most encouraging response was received from overseas buyers.
Mr. Parveen Aggarwal further added that, till date 17 such visits to the 7 different countries are arranged under the IC scheme of the Ministry of MSME and Mr. Kamal Chopra is the main source behind it. It is his vision and hardworking that today OPA is one and only association in India to distribute approx. Rs. 1.5 crore to the 400 printers across the country for visiting overseas exhibitions under the IC scheme.
