The 70th Independence Day was celebrated at Christian Medical College & Hospital, Ludhiana with patriotic spirit. The Program started with thanks giving service for the country at the College Chapel, followed by Flag hoisting, March past and cultural events. The Chief Guest, Mr. Gulshan Rai , Chief Environmental Engineer, Punjab Pollution Control Board, Ludhiana, was welcomed by Dr. Abraham G. Thomas, Director, CMC. Dr. Bobby John, Principal, Christian Medical College introduced the Chief Guest. Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Guest Mr. Gulshan Rai emphasized the need for individual efforts to help preserve the environment.
The presence of the Administrative team, staff and students marked the occasion. At this occasion five students who saved the life of their class mate recently at an accident in the city were acknowledged and honored. Patriotic songs, dances and a skit were presented by the students of five colleges of CMC i.e. Medical, Dental, Nursing, Physiotherapy and IAHS (Institute of Allied Health Sciences). The Vice-Principal, Student Activities Dr. Gagandeep Kwatra thanked everyone for the help extended.
