Takht Jathedar’s Role Serves ‘Love-Jihad’

Kendri Singh Sabha criticized Jathedar’s Role in Kashmiri Sikh Girl

Chandigarh: 2nd July 2021: (Punjab Screen Bureau)::

The way Jathedar Giani Harpreet Singh intervened in the issue of Kashmiri Sikh girl’s alleged religious conversion and marriage to a Muslim clearly went to serve Sangh Parivar’s sectarian agenda of 'Love-Jihad' political agenda.

Sikh intellectuals associated with the Kendri Singh Sabha here said That in a letter to the Jammu and Kashmir Lt. Governor the Jathedar sought the implementation in the state of “an interfaith marriage law of Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh against forcible conversion and for the safety of Sikh minority girls there”.

Besides that, the Jathedar’ addressing the J&K Lt Governor as “Your Excellency” lowering to the dignity of the Akal Takht which is the highest religio-temporal authority among the Sikhs. As per Sikh religious principles and traditions, the Jathedar should not acknowledge any worldly authority as supreme except than the All-pervading Akal-Purkh represented by the Akal Takht.

Most of the Sikhs feel that their religious sensibilities have been hurt as some self-proclaimed Delhi Sikh leaders aligned with the ruling BJP made the Jathedar write the letter which fits into the Sangh Parivar's political program of projecting a certain minority as an 'aggressor' and pitting other minorities against that.

The intellectuals said the Jathedar should not talk in terms of enacting or implementing anti-conversion laws when the Sikh religion do not subscribe and acknowledge the practice of religious conversion Adopting “divide and rule” as a strategy in India, the British rules promoted religion identity of Indians as a marker of demographic strength and representation of the communities by holding decennial Census in 19th century. The Indian rules have been following that ‘divide and rules’ and polarization and exercise more vigorously now.

Will Harsimrat Badal Move to Ask for Secession?

 7th June 2020 at 2:56 PM
Congress MLAs react strongly over the statement on Khalistan
Ludhiana: 7th June 2020: (Punjab Screen Bureau)::
MLAs Amrik Singh Dhillon, Surinder Dawar and Kuldeep Singh Vaid have reacted strongly over the statement made by Akal Takht Jathedar and SGPC president over Khalistan. The MLAs have questioned as to what are Harsimrat Kaur Badal’s views on the statements made by Akal Takht Jathedar and SGPC President.
“I hope she realizes that SGPC is a statutory body, which functions under the constitution. Now that the Akal Takht Jathedar has publicly supported the demand for Khalistan, will Harsimrat Badal, as the sole representative of the Punjabis, in the Union Cabinet move a resolution in the Cabinet asking for secession from India,” asked the MLAs in a statement issued here today.
They hoped that Harsimrat remembers that she was elected by lakhs of Punjabis, who are both Sikhs and Hindus. “There are lakhs of Hindus living in all parts of the world who are Nanak Naam levas, and follow the teachings of the Sikh Gurus. Hindus also visit Sikh shrines in large numbers. Is SGPC President and his master Sukhbir Badal looking at throwing over 1 crore Hindus out of Punjab, just like Kashmiri Pandits, who were thrown out and driven out of their native lands,” they questioned.
They stated that the Jathedar Akal Takht has also said that the present Indian government has a ‘anti-Sikh approach’. “Will Harsimrat Badal resign from the Union Cabinet immediately for being a part of the anti-Sikh Union government and also her failure to protect the interests of the Punjabis, and Sikhs in particular.  Will Sukhbir Badal pull out of the BJP led Union government for pursuing an anti-Sikh approach and agenda. Does the SAD support the divisive and even secessionist agenda being pursued by the SGPC President?,” they asked.
The MLAs have urged Sukhbir Badal and SGPC President to clarify their stand regarding the statement of former BJP Minister, Manoranjan Kalia, who has said that the Jathedar has hurt the feelings of the Punjabis. “Sukhbir Badal, MP and SAD President, has made wild allegations about the anti-Sikh policies of Congress regimes. What is he going to do about the serious statement of the Jathedar that the Union government of which is wife is a Cabinet Minister and his party a coalition partner. Shouldn’t he immediately pull out of the Union government as well as the Cabinet,” MLAs Dhillon, Dawar and Vaid questioned.

Jagdish Tytler in his website

It is shocking and surprising that the main mastermind of 1984 Anti- Sikh Genocide wants to appear before Akal Takht Sahib.
Mr. Phoolka has spoken to Jathedar Akal Takht Sahib, Singh Sahib Giani Gurbachan Singhji and has taken time to meet him tomorrow and present all the proofs against Jagdish Tytler, showing his involvement in the Genocide.
Mr. Phoolka will be meeting Jathedar Sahib tomorrow in Delhi.
Mr. Phoolka recalls that day when after a criminal case was registered against Jagdish Tytler that time President of Delhi Sikh Gurudwara Management Committee had presented a Saropa & Sword to Jagdish Tytler. These very elements may again try to facilitate Tytler’s meeting with Jathedar Sahib.

Dismal Sex Ratio Cause of Decline in Sikh Population

Ludhiana: 27 August 2015: (Punjab Screen Bureau):

Mr. H.S. Phoolka has written a letter Jathedar Akal Takhat Sahib stating that a statement of him and other Sikh Organisations to produce more children is not a right step in the present day modern world.  There are many reasons for decline of the population and among them the major cause is the lowest Sex Ratio among the Sikhs at National level.  The Sex Ratio among the Sikhs is 903 Female compare to 1000 male.  The sex Ratio among other religions is - Christian 1023, Muslim 951, Hindu 939.  One of the reasons of increase in Muslim population is the higher sex ratio which is much more than Hindus and as well as Sikhs.

Mr. Phoolka had requested to Akal Takhat Jathedar that to check the decline in Sex population and female Feticide, the works need to be done at ground level.  Mere advertisement  in the TV and Newspapers are not enough.

Mr. Phoolka has given an example of a scheme implemented in 2005-06 by the then Dy. Commissioner of  Nawanshahr Mr. Krishan Kumar.  This scheme had almost stopped the Female Foeticide in the District.  The said Dy. Commissioner received International Award for this.  Instead of implementing this scheme in all the District of Punjab, after transfer of Dy. Commissioner in 2007 the scheme was almost stopped.

Mr. Phoolka has requested to Jathedar Akal Takhat Sahib Ji to take immediate steps on ground level and implement this scheme throughout Punjab and take other necessary steps to increase the Female Ratio and check the Female Feticide.  Copy of letter is enclosed.
